NORMAN, Okla. -- Coming off a tournament sweep last weekend at the Hilton Plaza Houston Tournament in Houston, the University of Oklahoma baseball team takes its three-game winning streak to Ft. Worth, Texas, on Tuesday, Feb. 22, to face Texas Christian. The game is slated to start at 2 p.m.

The Sooners currently stand at 6-2 on the season after picking up victories over Sam Houston State, #10 Houston and Oral Roberts this past weekend in Houston. After losing two straight to Oklahoma City University before entering the tournament, OU's offense came alive in Houston hitting .327 through the three games, including three home runs, six doubles and six stolen bases. Junior centerfielder Jerome Godsey leads the team in every offensive category (except home runs) sporting a .414 average with eight RBIs and runs scored, while remaining errorless in the field.

TCU enters the contest with a 4-8 record after dropping its last three games to nationally-ranked Baylor over the weekend. The Horned Frogs are led at the plate by outfielder Tom Bates who, as of Feb. 15, was hitting .517 with two home runs and 13 RBIs. On the mound, righthander Shawn Thompson posts a 1.88 ERA and a 1-0 record through two starts and four appearances (as of Feb. 15).
