NORMAN, Okla. - Junior LaNeishea Caufield scored 17 of her game-high 21 points in the opening 20 minutes of action as the 15th-ranked Oklahoma women's basketball team cruised to an 86-45 victory over Arkansas-Little Rock inside the Alltel Arena in Little Rock, Ark. Caufield also added six steals and two assists to her totals.

Sophomore Caton Hill and junior Stacey Dales followed in double figure scoring with 15 and 12 points, respectively. Junior Jen Cunningham paced the team defensive with eight rebounds, followed by Hill's seven.

"I thought we did some good things at times and some sloppy things also," said OU Head Coach Sherri Coale. "Overall our intensity was good, transition was good and our effort was good considering we played a lot of different combinations and a lot of different people."

The Sooners took control of the game early as OU jumped out to an 17-6 advantage behind the offensive play of Hill, who scored eight consecutive points within the first seven minutes. Caufield guided OU into the break by recording seven of the teams final nine points before intermission to give the Sooners a 45-22 lead.

The second half was much like the first as the Sooners controlled the flow of the game as all 15 players saw action and 11 scored.

For the game, OU shot 54.8 percent (34-for-62) from the field and held the Lady Trojans to an opponent low 23.5 percent (12-for-51). The Sooners also shot a season-high 38.5 percent from behind the arc (5-for-13) to UALR's 20 percent. Junior Stacey Dales led OU in assists with eight as the team collected 24 to Arkansas-Little Rock's six.

Shemeka Strong and Maleka Sweat led the Trojans with 11 points each.
