OKLAHOMA PLAYERS

Oklahoma Junior Guard Stacy Dales
On tonight's game:
"We had to come out tonight and get a big win for ourselves. We just came off of two tough losses and had to get a win for us. We can not worry about rankings, or how good somebody thinks that we are. We Just have to go out and play our game if we do that more confidence and wins will come."

On her early foul trouble:
"I got in foul trouble early and could not contribute like I hoped I could. In some ways it helped me though. I calmed down and saw some things from the bench that helped me when I got back in the game.

Oklahoma Sophomore Forward Caton Hill
On tonight's performance
"I had a good week of practice and that carried over into tonight's game. I promised myself that I would never play as bad as I did in Wisconsin again. My teammates did a great job of getting me open looks and hitting me when I was open."

On her second effort:
"I did not dwell on my misses, I just hustled after the ball and tried to get myself or my teammates second opportunities. I made my mind up that I was not going to be denied."

Southwest Missouri State Head Coach Cheryl Burnett
"Give Oklahoma and Sherri Coale credit. They were coming off a tough weekend and played fabulous tonight. They looked sharp in the open court and did a good job on the post. They bodied us out and that gave them the inside edge. For us to be successful this season, we need another post player to emerge. Our defense did a good job to create offense but the turnovers really killed us. It seemed like once we got the ball, we gave it right back."
