Oklahoma Head Coach Sherri Coale
On the game
"A lot of people got a lot of playing time. The girls did a god job of executing their defensive screens and transition play. Overall, they did a great job. They'll learn from this experience and get better as the season starts."
On playing her alma mater
"I think it was positive for the University of Oklahoma, it extended our fan base, it's always fun to play against friends. Their some great people working Oklahoma Christian."
Oklahoma junior point guard Stacey Dales
On the Game
"Right now we are in a January stage of practices and we just have to implement that into our game situations. Tonight we struggled with each other but that is just part of first-game jitters. That will fizzle out as we go through the games. We're going to improve and it's going to be a drastic improvement from this game to the next game. And there will be even more improvement from this game to the Bertha Teague Classic next week in Tulsa."
On her shooting
"I think I took quick shots and I need to clean them up a little bit. I felt a lot of confidence in my shooting so I was going to shoot the ball and that is probably why I took those early shots. Hopefully they're going to fall and I think they're going to fall every time I shoot the ball."
Oklahoma sophomore forward Jadrea Seeley
On her shooting
"I was recruited because I'm a shooter. So, hopefully they are going to fall. I felt lost last year at times but this year I feel more stable and confident. Last year, it felt like a roller coaster for me because I was freshman. This year, I want to be more consistent."
Oklahoma Christian Head Coach Stephanie Findley
On the Game
"When we scheduled this game, we didn't have any injuries on our team and we would have liked to have had our full team. We were missing two starters. We would have liked to see how we would have fared with our whole lineup out there. We were pleased with the fact that we didn't quit fighting and we played better in the second half. We took care of the ball better and tried to establish more of an inside game. We were outmatched physically but we still wanted to come and see how we could do."
On Stacey Dales
"Stacey Dales is unbelievable. We found ourselves just standing there watching her throughout the game. Our main discussion was defending the plays that she would set against us. The girls would say the same thing out on the court. They found themselves just watching her instead of defending her. I think that she has gotten better. The international competition has really made her a better player. We had no answer for her or Jadrea Seeley and we new that those match-ups were going to be a big problem for us coming in to the game."
