Women's Hoops Team Dominates Oral Roberts, 87- 56

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - LaNeishea Caufield had 22 points and seven rebounds to lead No. 14 Oklahoma to an 87-56 victory over Oral Roberts on Saturday night in the Bertha Teague Classic.

Oklahoma (2-0) held a 44-30 halftime lead due largely to 13 first-half points for Caufield, selected as tournament MVP.

Oral Roberts (0-2) trailed only 48-40 early in the second half when the Sooners went on a 17-4 run to take a 65-44 advantage with nine minutes remaining.

The Sooners, coming off a 25-8 season when they advanced to the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament, have started strong this season. Oklahoma defeated Tulsa 80-49 Friday night in the first game of the tournament.

Shane McKenzie, Krista Ragan and Jennette Bolovinos scored 11 points apiece to lead the Golden Eagles.
