OU Women's Basketball to Host Hoops Fananza

Norman, Okla. -- - Catch the first glance of the 2000-2001 Oklahoma women's basketball team this Saturday, Oct. 28, as the Sooners host Hoops Fananza inside the OU Field House, across from Memorial Stadium. This year's team members will showcase their skills in a scrimmage and team drills that will begin approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the OU/Nebraska football game which starts 11 a.m. Admission to Hoops Fananza is free.

Hoops Fananza will also feature a poster autograph session, pom squad performances and fun games between other OU Athletic teams. Free for the fans will be schedule cards, posters, season ticket brochures and before Hoops Fananza concludes, one grand prize of two American Airline tickets will be given away. In addition, 400 Battle of the Big Reds Football Video tapes, 400 soonersports.com t-shirts and 2,000 discounted OU vs. Stanford women's basketball tickets will be available.

Fans are encouraged to bring their own cameras to take photos with their favorite Sooner basketball players and coaches.
