NORMAN, Okla.-- The University of Oklahoma's head women's basketball coach Sherri Coale announced today the signing of Southlake, Texas, native Stephanie Luce to a national letter of intent to play for OU in 2000.

Luce, a 5-6 point guard, enters her senior season averaging 17 points and nine assists per game for Carroll High School. She also was a member of the 1997-98 all-district first team and participated on the squad that won nationals that same season. Luce also plays volleyball and runs track for CHS.

"Stephanie is a tough, fiery competitor," said Coale. "She is an excellent point guard that pushes the ball really well. She knows how to win. She is also an outstanding student and a great fit for our program"
