NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma men's and women's cross country teams ended the 1999 seasons Saturday at the NCAA District V Championships at the University of Illinois Blue Golf Course in Champaign, Ill. The OU men placed 17th among a field of 20 with a score of 477, while the women took 15th out of 25 teams with a score of 423. Both performances were season low finishes for the Sooners.
Oklahoma men were paced by sophomores Jimmy Martinez and Brandon Kissack. Martinez finished the 10K race in a time 32:44 placing him 67th overall. Brandon Kissack finished in 107th place with a time of 33:46. Leading the women was junior Corrie Hussar who clocked a 5K time of 18:40 for 64th place.
