College Station, Texas - The University of Oklahoma women's and men's cross country teams competed today in the Big 12 Championships in College Station, Texas. The Sooner women finished 11th with a score of 294 while the men's team posted a score of 320 to finish 12th.
Colorado won the men's team competition for the fourth straight year with 22 points and boasted three of the top five finishers. The Buffaloes also won the women's team race for the third time in four years with 62 points.
Senior Sarah Harvey led the OU women's team for the second straight week with a career-best 5K time of 18:28, placing her 47th overall.
Leading the men's team for the fifth straight week was sophomore Jimmy Martinez, who placed 43rd with an 8K time of 26:15.
The Sooners compete next at the Midwest Regional Championships in Champaign, Ill., Nov. 13.
