Peyton Graham was named to the preseason All-America third team.
Ruffcorn, a fifth-year senior, went 1-0 with five saves and a 0.00 ERA in seven appearances during the shortened 2020 season. He notched 12 strikeouts and allowed no runs, just three hits and one walk in 8.0 innings of work, limiting opponents to a .115 batting average against him. The Cedar Park, Texas, product was perfect in four of his seven outings and did not allow a hit in his final 5.0 frames of the season. Ruffcorn has pitched 45.0 innings in 37 appearances and registered 16 saves since his arrival at OU prior to the 2019 season as a transfer from Texas A&M. His 11 saves in 2019 led the Big 12 conference.
Graham, a redshirt freshman from Waxahachie, Texas, started all 18 games as a true freshman last season at third base. He ranked 15th nationally in doubles (8), 45th in stolen bases (8), 49th in runs (19) and 55th in total bases (41). He was 8 of 9 in stolen bases, had multiple hits in half of his games (nine) and ended the season on a six-game hitting streak. Graham was named Big 12 Player of the Week on March 9, becoming the first Oklahoma freshman to be named Big 12 Player of the Week since Hunter Lockwood in 2012.
Oklahoma is the only Big 12 program with two representatives on the D1Baseball preseason All-America teams, and one of 12 programs nationally with multiple players receiving preseason All-America honors.
The Sooners open the 2021 season at home, Feb. 19-21, against Southern at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
