Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech Rewind

10/30/2021

NORMAN - No. 4/4 Oklahoma (9-0, 6-0 Big 12) secured its 10th straight win over Texas Tech (5-4, 2-4) and 17th consecutive victory overall behind six passing touchdowns by Caleb Williams Saturday at Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Williams finished the game 23 of 30 for 402 passing yards with six passing touchdowns. Five of his passing touchdowns went to different receivers and his six touchdowns ties the second-best total in school history set by Kyler Murray against Baylor (Sept. 29, 2018).

The Sooners totaled seven total passing touchdowns against the Red Raiders and tied Baker Mayfield’s solo performance against Texas Tech in 2016 and the program record for passing touchdowns in a game.

Mario Williams topped the 100-yard mark and finished with five catches for 100 receiving yards with one touchdown. Marvin Mims hauled in a pair of touchdowns and finished with 135 receiving yards on four catches.

It marks the first game that OU had two 100-yard receivers since CeeDee Lamb (185) and Charleston Rambo (122) completed the feat against Texas Tech (Sept. 28, 2019).

Drake Stoops, Brayden Willis, Austin Stogner and Darby all caught touchdown passes.

Patrick Fields and DeShaun White led OU with eight tackles, while Fields snagged an interception off an Isaiah Thomas tip in the second quarter.
