NORMAN – Caleb Williams made his first career start and led No. 4/3 Oklahoma (7-0, 4-0 Big 12) to a 52-31 victory over TCU (3-3, 1-2) Saturday night at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
Williams went 18 of 23 for 295 passing yards with four touchdowns. The true freshman quarterback added 66 rushing yards on nine attempts with one touchdown. Williams' 261 passing yards in the first half are the most by a true freshman in any half in Oklahoma program history.
Kennedy Brooks topped the 100-yard mark for second time this season, finishing with 153 rushing yards on 20 attempts with one touchdown. Brooks has tallied 11,100-yard games in his career.
Jadon Haselwood was Williams' favorite target against the Horned Frogs, leading the OU receiving core with six receptions for 56 yards with three touchdowns. The duo connected on a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter and one right before the half.
Holding a 24-10 advantage at halftime, Williams and the Sooner offense scored a trio of touchdowns.
Williams and Haselwood connected on 16-yard and 7-yard touchdowns, while Williams raced down the left sideline for the 41-yard score.
TCU tacked on a touchdown with under 12 minutes remaining in the fourth, but it would be the last time the Horned Frogs would score.
The Sooners burned over five minutes of time off the clock with their final drive which resulted in a 2-yard rushing touchdown by Eric Gray. The first rushing touchdown of his OU career.
Patrick Fields led the OU defense with eight total tackles and four solo. A quartet of Sooners finished with seven tackles, while DaShaun White led OU with 1.5 tackles for loss.

End of the third quarter … Caleb Williams scored a trio of touchdowns through the air and on the ground in the third quarter to help the Sooners to a 45-24 advantage heading into the final quarter against TCU Saturday at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
The Sooners received the kick to start the second half and found the end zone on their opening drive on a 16-yard completion from Williams to Jadon Haselwood.
Less then three minutes later, Williams and Haselwood connected again after a TCU touchdown and failed onside attempt.
TCU netted a field goal before Williams raced 41 yards down the left sideline for his fifth touchdown of the game.

AT THE HALF … Caleb Williams found Jadon Haselwood with under 30 seconds remaining in the second quarter for his second passing touchdown of the game to give Oklahoma (6-0, 3-0 Big 12) a 24-14 advantage over TCU (3-2, 1-1) at halftime at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
Williams earned the start and finished the half 13 of 15 for 261 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns. His 261 passing yards are the most by a true freshman in any half in Oklahoma program history.
Kennedy Brooks leads the Sooners on the ground with seven carries for 43 yards and one rushing touchdown.
OU jumped out to an early lead over TCU after the Sooners marched down the field, needing only seven plays to go 75 yards for the opening score on a 2-yard rush by Brooks.
Oklahoma forced a stop of the TCU offense on the opening drive, and the Sooners quickly capitalized.
Williams found Jeremiah Hall with 5:40 remaining in the first quarter for the 17-yard passing touchdown.
TCU found the end zone late in the first quarter to narrow the OU lead to 14-7.
Gabe Brkic tacked on a 28-yard field goal on the Sooners’ first drive of the second quarter.
The Horned Frogs used nearly seven minutes of the clock to score their second touchdown of the half with 4:27 remaining.
The Sooners responded with a 76-yard, 5-play drive that resulted in the Williams to Haselwood touchdown with 20 second on the clock.
Brian Asamoah leads the OU defense with five total tackles and three solo. Billy Bowman, Nik Bonitto and Key Lawrence each tallied four tackles in the half.

Caleb Williams earned the start for the Sooners and is 8 of 8 for 140 passing yards with one passing touchdown. Jeremiah Hall tallied a receiving touchdown on his only catch of the quarter, while Marvin Mims leads the OU receiving core with 56 yards on two catches.
Kennedy Brooks tallied five carries for 40 yards and scored the Sooners first touchdown of the game.
