Another Scorcher for Wednesday
NORMAN, Okla. -- If football coaches love hot weather for preseason
drills, Oklahoma's staff must be grinning ear to ear.
Mother Nature delivered another scorcher on Wednesday evening with temperatures in the mid-nineties and a stiff south breeze. The Sooners worked in full pads for two-and-a-half hours at the OU rugby fields. Thursday brings a return to two-a-days with workouts slated for 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. After an off day on Friday, the Sooners welcome fans to their first preseason scrimmage on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Complete fan information for the scrimmage is located here. Visit 2007 OU Football Preseason Central for complete official coverage of Oklahoma's preseason preparations. The OU Athletics Ticket Office announced Wednesday that tickets for the season opener against North Texas on September 1 are sold out. A limited number of single-game tickets remain for the Utah State and Baylor games. Tickets can be purchased online at SoonerSports.com, on the phone at 1-800-456-GoOU (4668) or in person at the ticket windows located in the Asp Avenue Parking Facility immediately west of the stadium. |
