NORMAN – The Oklahoma men’s tennis team has earned its tenth straight NCAA tournament bid, the organization announced Monday.

The Sooners (15-10) will head to the College Station Regional at Texas A&M for the first and second rounds.

OU will open the tournament with Arizona on May 3 while host Texas A&M and Texas A&M Corpus Christi square off on the other side of the bracket. The winners of the two matches will face each other on May 4 with the winner of that match advancing to an NCAA Super Regional.

NCAA Super Regionals will take place May 10-11 at campus sites to be determined. Winners of each Super Regional will advance to the team Championships, conducted May 17-19 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.

“Here at Oklahoma, our goal is win championships and this is the first step,” said head coach Nick Crowell.

“We’ve really prepared ourselves, bodies and minds, to make a run here at the end of the year and our guys are really hungry to do that.”

2019 marks OU’s third NCAA appearance under Crowell. The Sooners have advanced to the NCAA second round or further in each of the last six seasons.
